Lovely guitar Rosie - you should be proud Did you see anything interesting at the Berlin show - us guitar nerds need to know (hint ajlucas ) Nice to see Karl getting ready for his Circle of Death debut next year Aw thanks Dave. Yes there were some absolutely lovely guitars on show. I didn't get many pictures unfortunately but I know ajlucas got quite a few. The Local Woods Challenge guitars (where luthiers could opt in to a challenge to make a guitar from their local woods) were really interesting. It was amazing to see what some people had done and the woods they had chosen to use - I think about 30 of us took part in total and we brought them all together on the Sunday morning for a photo. The most eye catching guitar had to go to German luthier Jens Ritter who brought along a guitar embossed completely in Swarovski crystals - much blingy. Acoustic guitar wise I have loved Christina Kobler's guitars for a long time so it was an honour to exhibit with her and also Issac Jang who was Kathy Wingert's apprentice - his work is great! Oh and I drooled slightly over Raymond Kraut's guitars too ... the clean lines and workmanship was fantastic. There were so many wonderful makers I could go on forever! Haha I probably won't mention the circle of death thing to Karl yet...might put him off his stride!

Just a quick note to say I had the opportunity to play this guitar on Saturday night. It is absolutely wonderful! You have been warned, for Rosie think Kathy Wingert.

See now , I dont really watch these build threads very often as it just makes me want a hand built custom guitar . Ive got 25yrs experience as a carpenter/joiner and Im good at it (big headed git) š seriously though , this is simply incredible !! Im actually kind of lost for words at how stunning your work is . I could NEVER produce something like this in a million years . Ive made bespoke cabinets from reclaimed oak flooring , windows , doors and even a bed once but this is on another level . You deserve every success and acolade for such fine work and choice of material and attention to detail . The best Ive seen yet (sorry Dave , Rory , Francis et al) š

I get the impression they quite liked it! Expensive?! Cheap at twice the price.

Huh, he calls himself a guitar reviewer? He only played D once and there wasn't a C or Am in sight. Pathetic. Guitar looked and sounded a bit cushty, though, RosieTGC
