This is number 53 and has been in my family since been bought brand new in 1961ish.

My dad knew Bert and said if he remembers correctly he seemed play a committee which looks simular to a golden but was the model down. But he did also own an acoustic golden like ours.

It's a stunner.
A lot of those 60s Hofners had to get their necks reset, as the years went by.
How is the neck on yours?

I played a modern, German Hofner recently and the build quality and looks were wonderful.
The only thing that put me off was that it had a very naroow fingerboard, with very heavy guage strings.
Didn't seem much room, for one's fingers.
Love to own one though.
