Thanks again. I have a gig at the tricky venue this Monday, though if it's sunny it will be in the garden where I should have far less problems. I'm not sure if I should risk using the Roland as a mixer/monitor. I could really use someone to show me all this stuff in person. I'm going to send that soundguy another message.

I've been watching a few videos on how to use eq. In one video, the guy said that unless you were playing a bass, it was important to make sure the high pass filter was engaged to get rid of extra low frequencies in your channel. I can't find a high pass filter but according to the specs, the version with 8 inputs has one. I am pretty sure my mixer is the same but with 6 inputs, so is there a high pass filter somewhere? EMP6

Many mixers do have them - a simple push button per channel. The EPM6 doesn't. (Nor the 8 for that matter!)
Worry ye not.
