Jonny Kinkead is a great craftsman and a lovely bloke - he did some fairly drastic fret levelling for me a few years back on my Lowden - beautifully. I played three of his own guitars whilst there and enjoyed them a lot. Haven't seen that vid yet, so will enjoy watching!

Last autumn I saw Greg Russell play at the Cross Keys Folk Club, in North Wales with his dad Dave and a guitar player from Chester (sorry, can't remember his name). All three played Kinkade guitars. All of them sounded fantastic.

I made my first guitar using Kinkaeds excellent book a long time ago. That has turned into an absorbing and rewarding preoccupation for me to this day. Thanks Jonny. First one I built and the most recent.   |

Few mods to the design like the slotted head but essentially that's the one from 'that book'  I met Jonny at the Devizes guitar show last year - really great guy. |
