I have been a long term fan of Natalie Merchant who I think is a wonderful songwriter and performer. Perhaps, her greatest record was Tigerlily.

Last year Merchant released a new version of this record — a completely re-recorded version of the album. Th re-recording is fascinating. more subtle and more mature I guess. I'm not sure why I haven' mentioned this before but as I'm listening to it now I thought it worth commenting on.

Definitely recommended.
