With all the buying and selling I've done over the last few weeks, I had a couple of hundred quid, left in my pocket. I fancied a strat type guitar, again. So headed off to my local shop, Aire Valley Guitars. Quite odd, looking around the very cheap end but as always, the quality is amazing, for the price. I wanted pre-owned really and was soon attracted to a rather nice looking strat. Translucent, wine red body, made of ash, with gold hardware and a pearloid scratchplate. Turned out to be a Korean made, Pro Tone Squier Stratocaster. From the late 80s - early 90s. In remarkable condition, with a couple of miniscule varnish dings and some worn, gold chrome. Quite a heavy beast, for a strat but it had a feel of quality. Very playable, and great finishing, on the body and neck. I'll change the strings from 9s to 10s and adjust the tremolo and that should be it. It's a bright sounding guitar, with all the stratty goodness, you could want. Bargain basement, yes but a very worthy addition to my collection.

You can certainly pick 'em Graham - another gorgeous looking guitar, and one that I'm sure will play well and sound wonderful too. Keith

I had one of those a few years ago. They're nice guitars for the money. Enjoy!
