The idea of having an electric guitar has been bubbling in my head for the past year or so. When I first saw the B&G Little Sister Crossroads, I was smitten. I've never even played an electric guitar before, let alone owned one! So I got a used Fender amp off a friend of mine that was selling one and the guitar came today. I've only just given it a quick strum as I'm cooking now and gigging tonight. I'll give it a proper seeing to tomorrow. #excited https://instagram.com/p/BVXjp_zlUWj

Wow! I think I can actually hear Muddy Waters and Elmore James just by looking at the bad boy!

Love the look of these. My Facebook feed has been full of these guitars for weeks and my keyboards now full of drool.
Enjoy!

Very nice purchase Cams - enjoy! Semi acoustic and P90s too - a great combination. From what I've seen and heard they are good vintage style P90s with natural sustain and great tone, but bite when needed - not qualities found with a lot of P90 stock pickups any more. Have fun! Mark

So, what happened to the review? I had a great couple of hours on it a couple of nights ago. Being completely new to playing electric and the world that that opens up, I don't really have anything to compare it to. I'm still not entirely sure what pickups to use, what to set the Fender amp to, but it's fun experimenting. I turned up the reverb to midway on the amp with no overdrive and just played. There was a C-based chord in particular that made me go 'ohhhhh my' and then I was off, noodling around that and seeing what the guitar would reveal to me. I've got so much to learn with this guitar and signal chain, but it's going to be fun!

Hi Cams, How are you finding the Little Sister? I’ve just sold off a few acoustics and ordered a Crossroads from a dealer in Perth. I sold my last electrics off last year but fortunately kept my Laney amp.

Hi Cams, How are you finding the Little Sister? I’ve just sold off a few acoustics and ordered a Crossroads from a dealer in Perth. I sold my last electrics off last year but fortunately kept my Laney amp. Russ I like it fine, but haven't really figured out how it fits into my life yet. I'm new to electric guitar and figured I'd use it for some recording to change up what I've been doing. Summer was very busy with gigs and I'm now in my winter downtime when I should be figuring these things out, but instead I'm watching a lot of movies and reading books. Once the mentalness of running a Post Office in December has passed, I might figure some things out. I've played a few times at home, jamming to Spotify playlists with the guitar in my Fender reverb amp and it sounds great. I have nothing to compare it to, being my first electric guitar, but it is fun to play. I saw on Instagram that that particular guitar just won an award as best guitar of the year at The North American Guitar, the dealer where I got mine. So that's a thing.

My B&G Little Sister Crossroads arrived this week. It’s a great little guitar with a proper sized neck not skinny like my old Telecaster. Mine has no cutaway. For a so called budget line this guitar is very well made and through my Laney LC15 is very sweet. I haven’t had electric in years and this feels more like an acoustic on my lap. First impression are very good.
