Scayles guitar tech comes up trumps again. The Vintage V2000MGG went in to get the playing action lowered - in particular the bass side with 2.7mm string height at fret 12 and 0.9mm at fret 1. It did look to me as if he might struggle a bit with being able to lower the saddle enough to hit my ideal sort of levels but I shouldn't have worried. Picked it up late on Friday - I found he'd got the string height down to 1.6mm and 0.45mm on that bottom string. A tad lower on the first string at 1.5mm and 0.3mm. Very easy to play now, but I'll no longer have the high action as an excuse for my bad technique. A very good job has been done at the nut too, and there is no longer any need for retuning when putting a capo on the 2nd fret. In celebration I put together a wee snippet of a tune at the weekend. One day I'll maybe start to try to write pieces longer than 80-90 seconds! But as soon as a hit that length I run out of ideas. "May Peace Come Upon You"In Csus2. I thought I'd test it out tuned away down. Still no buzzing. Very happy! Mark
