Well there is the wood choice for a start and the fingerboards and the tonality and resonance of the guitar
OK Reg, but apart from that what have the luthiers ever done for us.

They're ok at changing strings and retuning the guitar for you, but get grouchy when you ask them to do it. Dunno why...
