Thanks for the kind comments Richard, Joe, Paul, Simon, Rob, Francis, Andrew, Kym, Rob and Leo - it doesn't sound too bad at all  That damn nun is back .... Keep taking the tablets Andy and you'll be fine  Some pictures as promised:    And to prove it's an Entwife, there are her eyes:  Time for the instrument to settle in, for me to do more adjustments as necessary and some more recordings. Then the real hard work starts of confirming participants of the Road Trip and working out the logistics - hopefully it can get underway sometime in January next year. |

Thanks Onechordtrick, Brian and Martin. A week on so tome for another recording. This is a medley of two of my pieces "The Voices are Gone/ Five Eighths" in FCFBbCEb - the equivalent of DADGAC for a Terz guitar. Again this was recorded straight into my Zoom H4n in Stereo mode, no EQ adjustment or added effects. |

Shimmers with great clarity Dave, seems to suit the dropped tunings relative to the guitar really well, does it feel 'slinkier' than a normal scale length tuned down?

Thanks Keith - when I get rid of my Christmas cold I'll start the "herding cats" part of organising the Road Trip.

The guitar looks superb and sounds absolutely gorgeous in your hands Dave.  I'm surprised yet again how what look like just bits of wood in the building process suddenly turn into a work of art near the end of the process! I hope I'll be able to do the instrument justice when it's wended it's way to this neck of the woods. I'd better start playing again before too many months go by or I'll be too out of practice. Thanks Mark and Gordon. All of my instruments have their own tune in them and so does this "An Féa Caol". This one emerged yesterday and today "The March of the Entwives" - a march in F mixolydian, FCFBbCF tuning and probably a synthesisof lots of march tunes I know. Again this was recorded straight into my Zoom H4n in Stereo mode, no EQ adjustment or added effects. |
