Did you use any heat? I use a small heat blanket which loosens the glue then warm up a putty knife and slide it in-between the neck and top. Mind you the problem you had is why I devised my neck joint which has the fingerboard glued to a neck extension rather than to the top, undo the two bolts and off the neck comes. I never saw the sense in bolting the neck on, then gluing the fingerboard down.

I did try a reading lamp directly over the finger board with top masked with some two inch cls. It didn't have too much effect so I rounded over some feeler gauges heated them with a cig lighter and worked my way along towards the soundhole with a wedge between the heel of the neck and the box
