Whilst searching through youtube came across this chap Johnny Flynn. He’s an actor as well as a musician. He’s released 4 or 5 albums. Can’t stop playing his stuff on YouTube. Should check him out.

This is his wonderful theme from the Detectorists which is the best comedy ever its up there with Fawlty Towers and Porridge . do yourself a favour and put the boxed set on your C list it is a wonderful sublime
and nuanced programme

I have a couple of hs albums and I'm a big fan of his songwriting and his style.
I got into him through 'Detectorists' and love playing the theme song on guitar.

Every episode is so good it feels like it's only lasted five minutes, the two lead players can convey more in a few close ups than some actors manage in their entire careers and every supporting character is beautifully drawn and essential. Plus if, like me, you happen to have a Simon and Garfunkel phobia, the bad guys will only confirm your prejudice. The first two series are on Netflix. |

Love the TV show, surely destined to be a classic - and love JF's music. The Detectorists theme is in my set list, always goes down really well :-)
