I forgot to tell you all some big news! ;D Since the arrival of the Martin, my beloved Larrivee was not getting played. I was hanging on to it because I told myself I would never sell it, but when I tried to think of the last time I took it out of it's case, I couldn't remember. I decided to let it go, and sold it a few months ago to someone who adores it. I have no regrets this time, it just couldn't compete with the Martin. I used some of the money to buy a taking out guitar that would be tonally very different to the Martin. It's a beat up Tacoma built Guild F-40, with an Adirondack top and mahogany back and sides. It has a JJB pickup in it and sounds great both unplugged and plugged in. Kind of has an old Gibson vibe. I love it and since it's already very dinged up, I have no qualms about taking it anywhere. Here it is in my little busking hidey-hole in Lincoln:

I will do Martin!!
I've a bunch of new songs to record, but never seem to have the time. Now that we've got to pack up and move it might be a while yet.... hopefully not.

I seem to be incredibly lucky where guitars are concerned!

Looks like a perfect place to busk Lynn...screwed up letterbox so no potential interruptions and a bit of shelter, definition and reverb from the "box" behind you..well chosen The Guild looks a perfect companion...classy but slightly battered.. Good luck with it all..

Lovely picture Lynn, and I'm sure the Guild willprove to be a very special friend upon the road. I have a soft spot for Guilds as my first "proper" guitar was a Guild D35, and it was my only guitar for quite few years until I discovered wider nuts and curvier bodies! Keith

Thanks guys! I love Guilds too and would someday love to have a D25 with a sunburst like Leo's. This will do in the meantime!
It is very light so great for busking, no sore shoulders here.
Andrew, I love my busking hidey hole, I feel safe there. It's right in the touristy part of town, too.

Lynn - I find that whatever the weight of a guitar, it's always more comfy to wear for long periods if there's a strapo button on the heel rather than tying the strap to the headstock - this always feels to me like I'm tryong to stop the strap slipping off my shoulder and makes me tense! Just a thought... Keith

Thanks Keith!
I'm not sure if it's being a girl or just my general physique but having the strap attach to the heel really hurts my left shoulder. The strap kind of lays across my shoulder when it's on the headstock rather than wrapping around it to go down to the heel, if that makes any sense.

I'm not sure I'd describe Naomi as 'light', Lynn... She's quite the lady, though I'll bring her, and others, to HB4 and you can have a play....
