I’ve only just got around to buying this. It is sublime.
Quercus is June Tabor plus two jazz greats Huw Warren (piano) and Ian Bellamy (sax/clarinet).
As their first album, this is recorded live and given that it is a remarkable achievement. The recording hasn’t been mucked about in post Production - you can here the flaws and mistakes.
Tabor’s ability to interpret both trad songs and contemporary music is extraordinary - Don’t Think Twice for example!

Tabor’s ability to interpret both trad songs and contemporary music is extraordinary - Don’t Think Twice for example! Sounds great Andy. As you probably know quite a few of her solo feature Hew Warren on piano and are very sparse affairs ie guitarless and snippets I listened to Here sound very similar but nevertheless lovely recordings Phil
