A bit of Bach, which isn't his normal line of things but is very nice nonetheless.

Enjoyed the guitar playing too - I'll have to get Jonny M to play me that one as a test for EDN when he comes here next 8-)

Is that due to his playing or the composition? Or both?

Soul is not the absolute accomplishment of music. Even if it was it's something which has no absolute definition.

A bit of both. For me, great music produces an emotional response. As such, it a personal thing and beyond objective definition. Some music makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up in a shiver of delight. This can be as much about the performance as the composition.
