There was a time - not too many years after Jimi Hendrix died - when I had every record, every piece of vinyl available from him. Including some rubbish, I must admit, that I soon moved on. But Jimi was my electric hero. I've lost touch a little bit - but the last week have been working up a version of Hey Joe to play in our Sixties show - and I've really enjoyed listening to him again. There aren't that many electric blues players that do it for me, but Jimi is top of that list. But wow - a quick look at Amazon and there are sooooo many new records out. Where did all this material come from? Is any of it worth getting?
