Was looking forward to watching this but I found it a bit...boring. Far too much waffling. A bit like listening to radio. Just play the ruddy music...

I found it pleasant but not great. There was a distinct lack of prog rock in the content for me after all it did cover the 70's, and it could have done without Danny Baker after his first few lines which I thought was a good description of the show. Also I now remember why I lost interest in the programme by the end of the 70's - music content not to my taste and presenters who thought they were better than they actually were. I only liked Bob H. I would have preferred Ian Anderson doing something rather than Richard Thompson too. This may be controversial on here and I know RT has written some excellent songs over the years but I didn't think he was very good or is it just me Overall not bad though and I only switched it off during the last new band started. I enjoyed all the live music except Gary Numan and the last band, the archive clips were fun, but the endless droning from esp the film maker and Danny Baker was boring.
I did enjoy RT despite duff choice of material and obvious vocal pitching difficulty in the first line or two. Interesting to see him playing a previous workshop S model Lowden. Teddy's?
Thought the new girl band were quite good, though the drummer could have been more inventive. Lovely harmonies.
Voted for the Tom Petty clip. Grrr.

Glad I recorded the show, it meant I could fast forward through some of the waffle. But it also meant I was too late to vote for Bonnie Raitt. John Ottway's 'performance' was priceless. I agree with Phil, I would have preferred Ian Anderson playing live over RT.
Good to see Liverpool's own Robert Vincent get some air time. He has a strong local following.

Hi, I recorded it and just watched it whilst my wife snored next to me. Best part - right at the start - seeing Nick Barraclough playing bluegrass banjo at the Cambridge Folk Festival ,, about a hundred years ago when we all had hair and loon pants. Tiny bits of Tim Buckley, John Martyn, Little Feat, Bob Marley, Stagey Alex Harvey (SAHB)wiyh fiddle players with stockings over their heads, Loved the comparison between Bob interviewing Keith, and the Monty Python spoof, After Bob left it all went downhill really.

I got around to watching it last night and quite enjoyed it.
I suspect the guest line up was only finalised late in the day as much of the chat was pretty impromptu. All relatively harmless stuff.
For me John Ottway was the real hero. I saw him on Whistle Test and then realised he was playing near me two night later! I was one of those who rushed out to se him. He's still playing in the same venue every year!

Can't say the same about Tom Robinson, he looks like plump Michael Gove
