For me this is heaven. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea. Daoiri (pronounced Derry) is one of the finest singers in Ireland and his flat back bouzouki is made by Joe Foley.

We were lucky this year. Went to the Glasgow concert and then to Gateshead the next week. It's always the highlight of Celtic Connections for us and Daoiri was not out of his depth in that company. Great singer. Passionate performance.

I saw Daoiri playing his two Joe Foley bouzoukis last night at his gig in Greenock. Beautiful instruments, quality playing and quite stunning vocals. He had a bad cold, but still managed to perform superbly and his 'banter' was top notch
