Anyone else tried them? Website here: hawkpicks.co.ukI found out about them on a thread in mandolincafé and decided to try one. They’re handmade so come at a premium and take about a week to deliver but worth it for me. Pick is nice and stiff and gives good tone with little pick noise compare don’t to a Primetone.

Yes I bought some recently, I like the ones with a sharp-sih point which seem to be based roughly on the Dunlop 3 Jazz shape. Found them a bit slippery in the fingers at first but fine once I'd handled them a few times. They are standing up well compared to some Blue Chips I have.
I am endlessly fascinated by how much difference the pick shape and thickness and material makes - and also how you hold it - particularly to mandolin tone. Also how my own tastes have changed - I used to play almost exclusively with a Wegen M150 but now barely use it!

YES! I wondered when others might discover these, they are brilliant. I recently lost one of mine and was extremely sad, but don’t worry, I found it again yesterday down my friend’s sofa, and wow, what a tone! I had forgotten just how brilliant a tone and feel it gives. I actually have two, one is a Simon Brady signature model, with three different types of corners. Very useful for getting different tones. However, I find this one a bit slippy, so last year I bought a similar sized one, large triangle, with their standard bevels, but with the option of the holes, and wow, it really works. I also have Dunlop primetones (my second favourite), a much cheaper Dawg pick (very lovely full tone) and a red bear that I have never got on with.
But yes, my Hawk pick just sounds and feels wonderful, well worth the money, which compared to a Blue Chip, is a bargain.

Is there one that is what I want for mandolin or/and bouzouki - thick and with at least one point?

I think the triangle ones could be the best buy(though still expensive) - at least you get 3 picks for your £12!

I love Primetones (not used anything else since I first picked one up last September!) so if some of you think these are even better, I will definitely give them a go!

I'd never given much thought to pick selection usually buying the cheapest I could find but, especially on a mandolin forum, they get a little obsessive about it so I thought I'd up my budget a little. First up I tried a Primetone, definitely an improvement but not quite right. The Hawk is another step up. Plus there's a good selection of colours so you can choose one that blends or contrasts with you carpet depending how much you like spending time on hands and knees looking for a dropped pick
