James was the first 'introspective' songwriter I came across when I saw him on Top Of The Pops singing 'Fire And Rain' and I consequently have most if not all his music in one format or other. Stumbled on this today and thought it was great: Hope you enjoy it as much as I did  Regards Phil |

Classic concert Phil - great!! I've loved this one ever since seeing it on the telly. Just love the Gibson guitar tone - infinitely preferable to his "modern" Olsen sound, though admittedly the latter sits better in a band context. JT is one of those people who, for me, has everything just right, and in the right proportions - well-crafted songs with interesting but not dominating guitar arrangements and sung in such an appealing voice. Ditto. I've got (I think) everything he's done. Some stuff I like more than others, obviously, but the thing that gets me every time I see him is the relaxed way he plays the guitar - no frenetic finger fumbles, it just seems lazy, unhurried, calm, almost soporific...
