Hey everyone,
We've just posted this video on Acoustic Review, and here it is:
I really liked this guitar - I felt it had great clarity and a very clean, chimey sound to it. The playability was brilliant and it was very well made. I could definitely see myself using this guitar for a lot of the music that I play as I thought it was a great fingerstyle instrument.
Perhaps I would have preferred a bit more low end from the player's position but that was a minor point and a different wood choice might provide that from Lakewood.
They're not a brand I've had much experience with but I'd recommend them to people based on this model for sure!

Great review - your production is superb. You could use a few more mics though!
I have a real soft spot for Lakewood guitars. My first all solid guitar was an M14CP - same body as yours but in mahogany over cedar. I loved that guitar. I met Martin Seeliger once at a guitar show in Germany and got to try a whole bunch of different Lakewoods.
That one sounds great for strumming- the words I wrote down as I was listening were focussed, crisp and tight. You mentioned crisp in your review too.
Looks wise, it's gorgeous. Very clean as you said and I love how they do the double abalone rosette - very classy. Price wise it seems like a very good deal too. Is it yours Ben, or do have have it only for review?

Nope, unfortunately we have to send the guitars back once I've reviewed them!!

Your studio has a great background and you seem very natural in front of the camera. Your reviews are a real pleasure to watch!

We record the videos at Cube Studios in Cornwall, it has a nice vibe and some great equipment. We film the reviews in 'batches' and this is from the second 'batch' so was only my second day in the studio recording - I think I'm starting to find the right mix of 'relaxedness' and remembering what I wanted to say - it's amazing how different it is speaking to a camera compared to a person!

Yeah, totally. I started vlogging a couple of months ago and I'm getting more comfortable with it. I intend to record guitar tutorials and my space is a big issue - I need to find a studio or set one up in the house if I can get the spousal permission!

I’ve liked every Lakewood I’ve played. Great value I think!

I’ve liked every Lakewood I’ve played. Great value I think! I was looking at their online custom shop and even that comes out at good prices!
