I'm just back from seeing Tom Paley at Milngavie Folk Club in Glasgow.
It was a really great night, and Tom was on top form managing to play banjo, guitar and two fiddles (not all at once!), while singing and entertaining everyone with jokes, anecdotes and Swedish history!
He performed for around two hours in total, and despite struggling a little bit at times with his shoulder, was superb throughout playing mainly a selection of old time tunes and songs, peppered with Swedish 'polskas' played on the fiddle.
His 1920s Martin guitar sounded very sweet indeed, and his banjo was nice and mellow.
