One of my favourite DVDs is Bireli at the Vienne jazz festival. An immense player.

I once sold a Martin D35 to Dis Disley (I think he bought it for a friend) He came to my house and we did a mutually acceptable deal. Then he gave me two tickets for a concert at the local theatre that he was doing with three other famous guitarists. (Can't remember who - possibly Jim Hall? and a classical player and...?
At one point he introduced a special guest who he said was going to be famous. Young kid, maybe 14/15, scruffy, skinny and spotty. No stage craft, played very fast and clever but little feeling.
It was Bireli Lagrene. Seems he's done alright.

Yes, Very big name in the Gypsy world as a follower of the Django Reinhardt style of jazz. Awesome players.
