Hello Leo and the others.... I've got a 0000 from Simon, Sijos, I like it a lot, and all the reviews you hear seem pretty accurate So it has a kind relaxed presence...that sounds sweet but not in your face , but nothing not like Brook. You may know that Glenns Guitars has a New Yorker for about 2400. The guitar I swapped with Simon has already moved on... Does that help? All regards Peter H Hi Peter, I am glad you are still enjoying the David Oddy. It just wasn’t right for this country boy!

Thank you very much for the replies. Hopefully will not affect me too much. I am trying to sell a number of guitars for a very poorly friend so this has bumped up my ebay sales a fair bit.

Hello all.
There has been some media news lately regarding online sales platforms reporting to HMRC for ‘side hustles’.
Like some of you i am sure I like to buy guitars, try them out and then either keep them as replacements or sell them on. There is hardly ever any profit involved and mostly losses. Obviously with high value items such as guitars the threshold I have seen of £1000 is easily exceeded.
Does anybody have any insights or is it the end of eBay selling??

Hi. Just today I part exed an Eggle for a Lowden F35 Amazique which is fitted with a fish man rare earth blend. It's my first experience with this pickup and I am actually impressed. Just adding a touch of mic to the rare earth hum bucker gives a nice bit of air.

Hello fellow guitar nuts. If this is not the correct location for this then apologies. In 1921 a six acre field was given to the parish in remembrance of the fallen of the parish in WW1. In 1923 a tree was planted for each of these souls. A plaque was sited at the base of each tree with their name. Our parish council have decided (without consultation to their parishioners) to lease of part of the memorial recreation ground to a mobile phone company to erect a 50ft mast. I feel this is totally inappropriate and disrespectful. Anyway i have written a protest song and would appreciate your support. Many thanks.

I face this problem when playing band songs on my own at sessions. Sometimes I just make a joke of it and say "imagine a solo here", but I guess that would wear thin if you did it all night. If you have time to rehearse before the gig you could maybe experiment with doing slightly different things on the guitar where the solo would go, but remember that you will be more aware that there's something missing than the audience are. Luv the shirts btw Thanks! I have a growing collection of cowboy shirts and hats! Likely to increase after I visit Nashville for the first time this year!

Hi all. I usually play solo or as part of a 5 piece country rock band - www.louisianalightning.co.ukWe have been asked to play a gig but not all of us are available so we are playing it as a trio for the first time. Me on vocal and acoustic with my colleagues on drums and bass guitar. We will be playing mostly our usual band set list but obviously will be missing the lead guitarist breaks and solos. Do I just play my normal acoustic part through it? I am not a lead player so couldn't replicate the breaks. I suppose our bass player could throw in some fills as could the drummer to fill the space? Your advice would be very much appreciated.
