I’ve seen ”new” guitars in shops in worse condition. Looks cool! Enjoy.

I have many names to put in the hat. Won’t be room for anyone else’s if I spell it in Irish! Vinny

I have the GAD (Chinese) version of this. My son borrowed it two years ago... The necks on the GAD guild models are quite narrow. I have a D55 and D40 bluegrass model and find the necks on those more comfortable. The arched back models like yours tend to be LOUD. The sunburst finish isn’t usually my thing, but looks really good on your new arrival. Those three piece neck models are usually built like tanks, yet can be surprisingly lively and responsive. May you have many years (or in your revolving door system, hours?) enjoyment. Vinny

Tapping can add something when used sparingly; very sparingly. Unfortunately, it is usually way overdone. The Acoustic Guitar Bible is still the best guitar book I’ve ever had, though. Vinny

Absolutely lovely. Yet somehow familiar! Enjoy, John. I’m loving mine. Stunning work, Francis.

Count me in for the crèche. Just when you think you can play something, you see someone who can play it properly. Saw Steve Earle in Dublin a while ago and he was saying how Townes van Zandt was a major influence. Vinny

Thanks,Francis. Assumed it would be a k&k to avoid the falcate bracing. They’re what I normally use, but it seems a criminal act of vandalism to drill your lovely end graft. I’ll leave it for the moment. Just put the lacewood down a moment ago. It’s getting more playing time than the Lowden or Avalons. Guild gathering dust. Vinny

I’ve fitted half a dozen or so of these, one with volume control. The volume control is only useful as an on/off switch as anything between full and no volume introduces hiss. Vinny

I do this in identical fashion. Chuffed that I do it the same way as an expert like colins! I use a chopstick instead of a knitting needle. Can use neither chopsticks nor needle for their intended purpose though. Loving this build. Vinny
