I've got a similar problem with a Moon octave mandolin the braces taper off mid sound hole there's just no strength where it's needed. Mind you it sounds well even tho and possibly because it's on the point of destruction!

It's is an active pickup powered by a CR2032 battery
I'm hoping that replacing the cable might be the answer

My lads having problems with his Yam LL16 Baggs M1 pickup through pub PA systems it sounds fine through my AER compact 60 but experiences problems through a typical open mike pa. I tried it last night at an open mike and couldn't loose a crackle the pick up is four years old and he's had it since new. Any thoughts anyone?

I nearly bought a Lowden 12 once I really should have it was to replace a Seagull SM12 that I still have that's strung heavy but low I ended up with a Guild JF30-12 which won't take the heavy gauges like the Seagull despite being built like the proverbial brick outhouse. The Guild is seriously heavy won't fit a gig bag so doesn't get played out much as a result

Has anyone used the zoom H6 ? I'm thinking of donating my early zoom H2 to a worthy cause ( well impecunious Student offspring) And am considering the H6 but it does seem expensive and a remote control for it is even more any thoughts anyone?

I'd be interested I play purely finger style and have a couple of guitars that are designed mainly for finger style an elderly Fylde Oberon and more recent a Cedar/Cocobolo Linklater

Well I finally got a reply from Hiscox and it worked but it took a bit of believing. Their suggestion was to go over the crack with a soldering iron

My first thought was to contact Hiscox that was over a week ago and there's been no reply as yet

Any ideas on how best to repair a hiscox case? Mine has suffered a blow that his cracked the outer shell it's minor but I wanted something a bit better than gaffer tape!
