I am finding that the `long A` causes problems for me as i sometimes get a pain in my wrist when stretching my pinky. My short scale 12 fret Taw should be be a great help.

I think it will be mainly instrumentals, if his you tube videos are anything to go by. I am going to see him in Manchester on Friday. Hope you have a great night and post a short review on the forum. Cheers Steve.

I recorded the programme after reading this forum topic about its screenining, having no previous knowledge of Nic Jones. Loved it,the guitar playing and the beautiful songs. i am so pleased that i have now found Nic Jones. Once the gas man has been, i am going to watch it again. So thats the second fantastic talent i have discovered through the forum, the other being Ken Nichol. Nearly forgot; just bought `Penguin Eggs` as a download of itunes, £5.99 less than half the price of the CD, so i can`t complain. Just checked out a website folkmusic.net it has an article on Nics music and the tunings he used for his songs, very useful to a standard tuning monkey like myself. The Cd is great!

One of my fave albums of all time, Stanley Rd by Paul Weller - I had the pleasure of seeing him live at the height of this album in Manchester (Apollo I think it was) some years ago now, but the experience has stuck with me, as it was a bloody GREAT gig There's many classic's, here's one Good post PHILW, i agree, Stanley Road is one my favourite albums. I was at the very same gig at the Apollo, and yes it was `GREAT`.
