I don't hate it, I just find it a bit 'meh' .... I was never much of a Beatles fan though, I probably only really like eight of their songs, which isn't much considering their output.

That sounds really nice to my ears (I know audio recordings rely on the mic, room, and a dozen other things which influence the sound). It has everything I like about an acoustic guitar sound, would love to play one. In fact, I have just realised, I have never even played a fan fret guitar yet, maybe I should give one a go.

I wonder if David Gray wobbles his head while singing for the same reasons ?
"Babylon ...." *wobble wobble*

Discovered this guy while down the youtube rabbit hole, really impressed ! I'm not really a fan of rock music as such, but this guy had everything, and used effects, looping, and great guitar technique, and a great voice, without over-doing any one thing.

LOL
I thought the same thing when I first saw Wizz Jones play, although I love the bloke and his music, I just don't hear any vibrato or anything else when he shakes his guitar.

I'm quite cynical about technology applied to traditional things. These could be amazing for all I know, but experience has taught me if something 'aint broke, it doesn't need fixing. Trying to pack as many different 'features' into something, almost always results in a jack-of-all-trades type 'thing', but master of none. If I really loved reverb, I would plug my guitar into a quality dedicated reverb unit. As I would for a delay, or chorus, or .... you get the idea. It is more expensive, but dedicated effects units/pedals are always better quality than some multi-effect do-it-all system. I spent many years DJ-ing too, not just mobile disco type events (although I did that for over 20 years, it was a decent paid earner so why not), but played at early dance music events, and clubs, where DJ-ing skills are very important (mixing, scratching, beat juggling, and so much more). To do those things on two turntables with vinyl records, and to do them to a high standard, is actually incredibly difficult, akin to playing a real instrument. The modern way is to use a controller and software which plays digital audio, and not only does it require much less skill, it sounds much worse because of all the tricks, effects, and features of the controller & software. Too much all crammed into one thing, means nothing really stands out as being quality, it's simply quantity. I feel the same about these guitars if I'm honest.

I'd love to see him live on stage, I'm becoming a massive fan.

Totally different vibe from the original, and it works really well ! Almost as if simon and garfunkel had covered it.

I am (as many people will testify), a proper anchor. The pinky stays put at all times, my thumb hooks over to press the thick E, and I don't hold the guitar correctly either. I don't see me ever being a profeshnull so I'm not worried !

I thought I'd post this, as I found it really interesting. It's a detailed look at different tone woods, and a demonstration of the resonance of each.

I feel I should have heard of this amazing musician before, but alas I have only just stumbled on his work. Yes I admit, I saw the 'played on a Lowden' bit and thought I'd listen (I know I know, I'm such a Lowden fanboy), but instantly I listened through a few pieces on his YooChube channel, and was blown away by every single one. Some of you will be thinking 'heard of this guy years ago, what took Gnashers so long', but just in case you hadn't, I encourage you to have a listen to a few of his uploads, every one is very special, and beautifully recorded. Oh, and not every guitar he plays is a Lowden (naturally I skipped over the other brands, pffft).

I was reading about AI music only yesterday. I can't remember who, but somebody has created a female singer with AI, and this fake artist is expected to be the next massive success in the music indistry. Everything from the music, to the voice, to the images, is AI generated. It is scary, and quite sad.

Been really getting into this artist lately. I find his voice really calm and soothing, and he's a great guitarist too. Hopefully going to see him on tour next month, if I can get time off work.
He plays a few Nick Drake covers, so he's obviously influenced by Nick, which is certainly no bad thing.
This is a track from his new album :

Crikey, never expected her to play like that, and then the voice too. Just when I think I'm getting somewhere, something like this gets posted to remind me I'm only a tenth of the way.
