Just thought this was interesting. I have never seen one, let along played one. The theory sounds ok, more area for the top/back to resonate, can use thicker wood as it's not being bent, etc. I would assume it uncomfortable to play, although never tried one (yet). Thoughts anyone ?

The mere mention of a Bert, John, or Jacqui and you have my attention.
Great list of music there, Pentangle being my favourites.

I tried a few pedals, and also have a Fishman Loudbox artist amp with lots of effects. It was a bit of fun at first, but I just prefer the natural sound of a good quality acoustic, as you can get so many different tones from it, harmonics, damped sounds, etc.... Each to their own, and some artists get some amazing results from effects, I just personally like the natural sounds better.

Completely agree with you all. And I am a TE fan, but this just ruins the piece for me.
Thanks guys.

What do you think guys & gals ?
Is it amazing, incredible, the best piece of guitar performance on youtube for ever un ever ? Or is it way over the top, too flashy, no musicality ?

Never really liked the Pogues, but I always respected him/them for staying pretty traditional in their music. I think his appeal was partly to do with his lifestyle choice, persona, and appearance, as much as it was his music. But well respected by many, RIP Shane.

Been watching George's videos for a while now, superb talent both as a player and singer. Never realized he had a brother who played upright plucky things.

I prefer the Spruce, it sounds more balanced to my ears. They are both very good, but the Cedar has a more pronounced mid range, and the volume of the bass and highs tails off in comparison. The Spruce sounds very even across all the frequencies and just seem a cleaner and more balanced tone which I would personally prefer to listen to.

Lowden S-50 winter series, limited edition. I love the clean appearance (I don't like fancy guitars), and I like the bevel for comfort, it's just awesome.

Try clipping some ferrite's around the cable, a couple at each end near the jack plugs. You can buy them on the two big shopping sites quite cheaply. As a licenced ham radio operator, I used them on everything, power cables, antenna cables, etc ... They are mostly used for radio wave interference but they do stop mains hum in a lot of cases too, as it operates at 50Hz (in the UK) and the hum you hear is a 50Hz audio tone. What is happening basically, is the audio lead is acting as an antenna and picking up the 50Hz signal radiating from the mains cables. Sticking them at each end of any cables attenuates any signals being transmitted by, or received by, metal wires. Make sure you get ferrites with an inner 'gap' big enough to fit around the cable diameter, but not too big so they wont clip 'to' the cable and slide up/down the lead. Can't guarantee it will work 100% or even 50% but it is certainly worth a try as these ferrites are quite cheap. When you see a box or bulge on a power supply or mains adapter lead, that is what is inside, ferrites to attenuate the possibility of RFI :-)

I really like that !
I'm also a DJ, and have been since 1980. Anything with beats like this in, I love. Big fan of 60's & 70's funk. But African music is something different yet equally as brilliant.
