Again I definitely do not need any more guitars. However, I would get someone to make me a posh non classical necked nylon one if you forced me. davewhite is making this very beast for Steve Tilston... photos on his website (Dave's, not Steve's)

I think that for once I'd follow leoroberts's lead in joining Rosie's build queue at www.turnstoneguitar.co.uk/ , probably for a small cedar/walnut with a slothead is as basic a form possible! What had you in mind Leo? If it's anything similar to mine maybe we could pool our imaginary £3k each and get one sooner which we could share? Keith

Does anyone have some talent for sale? Funny you should ask. I have fresh bags of talent for sale and happen to be 3k.

Keith I know Rosie's a fan of slotheads (she talks about it on her latest blog) but I have to confess (why is it confess? - maybe I should say that "I express a strong preference for") it'd be a paddle head for me I'm happy with cedar/walnut - though if you want a TS and I want a TG maybe we can compromise and imagine ordering a TM

Not that I need any more guitars but I'd get either a triple 0-12 from Ralph Bown or a Model E from Kathy Wingert. Not for £3k you wouldn't!

Some great suggestions. The Kathy Wingert E is beautiful, but her prices start at $14k!! Wow. The Flydes are also beautiful, and something I have not considered before. Currently my Martin 00-28 is the most extravagant guitar I own. This was second hand and below £2k. However, the guitar I play most is my Faith Legacy Earth. It’s a special that was produced with no pick-up and had the LR Baggs fitted after. It’s such a versatile guitar, sounds great plugged in and I’m not too worried about using it in the garden etc. During this lockdown I have been haunted by koa guitars. I tried one in a shop years ago, but just didn’t have the money. The Taylor K24ce looks incredible. I don’t think I could ever justify spending over £4K on a guitar (although, I never thought I would spend £2k). There are some second hand available. Also they do a 424-k which is a very similar guitar, just with less bling that is available well below £3k. Do any of you have experience with koa guitars? Jubbo I have a Martin 00028k 1921 authentic, which is all koa and superb, but it was more than £4k five years ago!

£3k at this very moment? A friend has recently taken in a special Gibson J45 Ren Ferguson build to his shop that is going for that figure...might have been tempted to take a look if I was able to......

I would be looking at a 00 sized body but maybe something like an Adrian Lucas Pergola guitar ( I might have to follow Leo’s tactic). It would be a spruce top and probably walnut back and sides, 12 feet cutaway to facilitate a longer scale than 24). Wow pretty big guitar!! Expecting my Fylde later this year so I'm drained for GAS at the moment...although after it comes my guitar rack will have one space left to fill so there's work to be done.... Contenders for the final slot Turnstone/Taran/Sobell/Doerr all over £3k... Otherwise to play the game I'd look at a second hand Goodall or Santa Cruz... In fact there's a couple of Koa Goodall's listed on reverb for less than £3k... there done!

I really can't think of anything of the top of my head. One thing is for sure though whichever builder I'd go for it would have to be before TNAG got their influence over them i.e. prior to the price doubling virtually overnight........ Phil

Being an expat I’d love a UK made guitar maybe a Turnstone or Taran. I love slot heads and 12 fretters. In reality though I’m selling not buying.

If a basic Taran came in as low as £3k - I'd theoretically be looking. Or the "An Féa Caol" if Dave had a small discount! But if I had £3k in reality I'd be supplementing my upcoming and sadly deflated pension. It's in as bad a state as Eeyore's birthday balloon. Mark

Another Brook - maybe a RW Torridge to go with my mahogany one. I think a 1-7/8" nut width and slot head would be great
