I m the proud owner of number #22 , in the Francis milsom collection and I can vouch for the fact they only get better with age. You ll love it. Mine certainly continues to get better with age. I haven’t changed the strings since I got it two and a half years ago and it still rings out and gets better all the time. (Sorry about not changing the strings, Francis, but I’m too scared that I’ll break the spell).

Handover time - To what seemed to me a very happy young man... ...... Deffo very happy indeed, though I'm not convinced that 71 2/3 counts as young any more. Lovely guitar - had to take the mask off to eat Sheila's excellent freshly baked biscuits! I hope the drool from these and the guitar won't affect the finish too adversely. What a great day - very glad to get to Francis's after a vile M-way trip. Thoroughly enjoyed first acquaintance with Milsom#31 - fits my left hand really well, felt right at home straight away. Clear, sustaining, punchy, loud when needed, keeps all it's charms right up the neck. Obviously primarily a fingerstyle guitar but it also responds really well to some thrashy strummage. Sadly wasn't able to stay very long but had a pleasant drive back via the more scenic route with only a bit of M5, and even that was well-behaved. Lovely to see Francis and Sheila again - thanks so very Francis for making the guitar, and Sheila for making the biscuits! On arrival home Rosie and even Mrs O'C were complimentary about the sound and looks of the guitar. And I remembered i forgot to try with capo whilst still with Francis, but have done so now and can report that the tuning stays pretty good (relatively anyway - I didn't check absolute pitch with a chooner) and it sounds lovely even up at capo 7. Oh and it even has the required angle of dangle when strapped on. Obviously I'll report more in a while and may even get around to a recording or two eventually! Keith

Lovely photos Francis, even if Keith did insist on posing with your new guitar! It looks beautiful, but of course the proof of the parlour will be in the plucking, so get yer arse over t'Plucky Duck, lad! Congrats Keith, and Francis

Keith Looks like some more Milsom magic, and in the hands of a proper player. Perhaps we should start a Milsom Appreciation Society ...

Congratulations to both Francis and Keith. I am a bit worried, though, that all this detailed inlay and other craftsmanship has affected Francis’s eyesight, if he thinks he handed his work of art to a “young” man.
