A couple of years ago Gardner Houlgate, the auctioneers, solid some shavings from a Zemaitis guitar once played by Hendrix for over 200 quid. Keep the shavings, Francis. They may be worth a small fortune!

Thoroughly enjoyed looking through this build thread, so exciting and great choice Keith, can't wait to see the actual/physical finished guitar, and have a wee "play with it" at some point...if I'm allowed that is  will need to think about what to use for decontamination though.......might have to make the Domestos mixture a bit weaker I suppose......don't want to damage it............ Thanks Glyn. I've been waiting on some veneers to take the headstock on further - they've now arrived so I've been able to get off me B-side and do something:  Headstock initially shaped, still to remove the string ramps and then blend everything together... |
