Further preps on the sides. This image shows the front edge having been first scribed to a 20 foot radius it's being sanded down to just leave the scribe line visible: This image shows the back edge being scribed. The surpluse will be planed down and sanded to a 15 foot radius: I'm using mahogany for the linings. Strips have been cut and sanded to 19 x 2mm and bent in my Fox style bender. Once I've finished profiling the sides I'll laminate up the linings ready to be fitted to the sides.

Think I'll just save the word fabulous in a text document and copy and paste francis . It'll save my fingers some typing.

Been working on the linings and the lining glue-up formers today. Each parlour I've built I've told myself I need to make the formers for glue-ups. Finally done it. I've also fitted the tail block

Soundboard and rosette in my sights today. The linings are all glued up and on/in their moulds so put aside to harden off. The rosette is made up of four black/white/black lines 1mm thick surrounding an annular ring of macassar ebony. They were inserted into the cedar top and bonded with superglue. The top has been lightly sanded with my drum sander but left over thickness at the moment. Tomorrow all being well I'll cut the brace timber and prep the Falcate braces for bending... Here's the rosette and the WRC soundboard

The linings are now in and profiled to their respective front/back contours. I'm now fitting the side reinforcements:

I mean...who doesn’t love some tasteful sapwood? Looking forward to the rest of this build and then hearing what ocarolan brings forth from her

leoroberts - how do you know that the guitar is female, Leo? If I'd chosen the b/s set pictured recently on another thread there could have been no doubt.
