I have a 55 year old guitar and the tuning peg has packed up I am trying to post a photo so I can ask for help on the forum as I am not sure that the advice given by my local guitar shop is correct. Can someone assist in telling me how to attach a photo to this post
Thanks

Upload the photo to a free image hosting site like photo bucket and then link to it here using the image button.

Thanks Martin Ok the problem is that the tuner has become detached. It is suggested that the two round rivets are filed down so I can take the back off and see what the problem is. This seems very drastic to me as well as very longwinded but is there a better way? The tuners are 55+ years old they are as far as I am aware the original tuners so I can't buy a matching replacement it will be six new tuners. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Paul,
What's on the other side of the tuner and what's your question/problem?

Dave this is the other side the problem is that when you turn the peg it does nothing to the string you cannot tighten/loosen it.

.. as you were, doesn't seem to have much to do with Hag acoustics, just the lectrics, soz Paul. Might be worth emailing them with your model and serial number though....

Paul,
If you want to keep it original then what they are suggesting is the way to go - get the rivets off to see what has happened inside and find a nice "bodger man" to fix it and re-fit some new rivets. Frank Ford has a lot of these sort of repairs shown on his frets.com website. Wait and see what the nice Hagstrom people have to say first though.
