This seems to be coming together really quickly (well as an outsider it does). It's looking great. Do you have a builder in mind for the 0/00? All the best, marcus It was commissioned in April! You just have to forget about it for months!

And yet more pictures. The guitar is at the French polishing stage. It might not be ready for Halifax though :-( As I think we have mentioned before, neither of us is a real fan of bling. On the other hand, I think Adrian really makes the woods shine out!

I love the design how the body continues through the neck block. The back is very enticing as well.
Can't wait to see and hear the finish proud. Must be excited Andy?

Chris Yes but maybe not quite as much as you would think. Once I paid the deposit I conditioned myself to forget about it! Every new guitar I have bought has inspired me to stretch my playing but this is always a challenge. Adrian's guitars do sound different to anything else I own and it will be quite a trip to get the best out of it. I'm looking forward to putting the OM back in standard/Dropped D tuning. All that country blues and ragtime beckons. I shall probably have to move from 13's back down to 12's. I feel as if I will actually be getting two new guitars. I am worried though. Adrian has two lovely mandolins for sale. And I keep having an inkling for a small bodied, 13 fret design. Getting to Adrian's and picking up the guitar without commissioning something new will be a challenge! I would like to spend a bit of money this year on upgrading my recording equipment. The guitar is now at French Polish stage which I understand is quite laborious and labour intensive. Sadly, I don't think it will be ready for Halifax.

That looks great Andy and I see it's got a sound port too - very nice. I'm a fan of sound ports having first experienced one on the Dave White road trip guitar followed by my custom Brook Lyn Phil

I'm a fan of sound ports having first experienced one on the Dave White road trip guitar followed by my custom Brook Lyn Phil to be honest Phil I've not really played many guitars with sound ports for any length of time. When I played Adrian's own guitar — a rather nice Pavilion in Brazilian Rosewood — I found it a bit disorientating but I can certainly see the point. Am fed with only realising how good my guitars are when other people play them !!!

So you're looking forward to a weekend that passes ever so slooooooooooooooooowly Am away and visiting friends for the weekend in Ipswich. I did look to see whether a Saturday trip might work but it would be almost 7 hours round trip, which kind of calmed me down again! The plan is an early start to Lincoln on Monday. Collect and chat about guitar. Race home quickly and spend the rest of the day in monastic seclusion. Or something like that!
