Very nice indeed, Colin. What's the width at the nut, please, and the radius too, if you don't mind, as it appears to be flat. Apologies if you've already posted it. It's a 46mm nut width, 57mm saddle spacing and a 16" radius. All pretty standard for fingerstyle steel strings. Colin

I'm afraid that my envy for the lucky winner will mean that I shall have to blank them should our paths cross...

Aye, it's a doddle, right enough.
Nothing to it.
In fact I'm away off to the shed to knock one up...
I'll get back to you...

Someone is going to be very privileged to own this. To my eye it is so restrained and understated. It is just beautiful. What will it sound like I wonder? How will it feel to hold it and play? Goodness me.

Someone is going to be very privileged to own this. It could be YOU arthurp ... crikey, if I can compose a little something, then anyone can! And that's all you need to do to be in with a chance. Don't carry a regret for the rest of your life...

Don't carry a regret for the rest of your life... If only. I don't have your way with words I'm afraid Leo . And I don't have the fingers to play the notes I sometimes have in my head. Plus, I am not quite sure whether the notes in my head are actually my notes and not someone else's regurgitated. Apart from that.....

May I ask what type of finish you apply Colin Regards Phil Phil I use Liberon Finishing Oil. I do sometimes French Polish, but not for some years. I dislike anything over shiny, preferring a warmer lustre. Check back on the thread I did on the Birdseye maple classical recently and you'll see the finish. It brings out the grain very well and provides a reasonably tough but very easily repairable finish. The Liberon has become something of a standard finish with a number of high end classical builders because of its tonal transparency after first being used some years ago by probably the best classical builder in the UK Kevin Aram, and it's now gaining a lot of users in the US.
