Great news.
Btw, frets are good. What is the width at the lower bout? It looks massive!

OK, here we go, some final sots in the Gator Acoustic Bass Case that arrived today: EWH- I don’t know the exact dimensions, but the design is an exact replica of a Gibson J200, and what with its 34” neck, yes, you could say it is massive!! I’ll try and get a picture off Facebook with me holding it so you can how big it really is!

Right, here are some pics that my mate Rob took went we went down last week. Gives you a better idea of its size. Sorry about my rather Kenneth Williams expression- don’t know what that was about !!! Robbie

Well, that's just bloody lovely Robbie. Everything about it is gorgeous - the back, the tuners...
Very envious.

Looks great, especially those tuners and the headstock. Just need to grow longer arms now

I love that shot of the back of the neck at the heel - beautiful woods and a stunning finish

Very elegant! Stunnings woods, but I do really like the "stealth" bridge pins - this size pin in a different colour to the bridge always looks weird to me - yours looks . Keith

Lovely. I really like the walnut neck with the contrasting line down the middle. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer!

Keith I'm actually thinking of making it even more stealthy by fitting black nylon strings! Have you noticed that even the saddle and nut are black

Oh my, just stumbled across this thread. I didn't know Brook were making J200 style instruments. I did see one of their OMs at the RMMGA meet and it was great.
Our erstwhile percussionist in the 3-piece bluegrass band got an upright bass for her birthday last year and has picked it up really quickly. Last night she ditched the percussion and got through almost the entire set and OMG, what a difference to the band. It's difficult to explain - like it's gone from a hobby band to a proper band. It really is wonderful. I'm looking forward to hearing what you do with your Brook!
