Chuffin' excellent, Martin . There's nowt wrong with 'just in time' - as long as you're in time. And you are. Great re-write from a different perspective and that frailing guitar you did a workshop on a couple of years ago. Just grand. best of luck yada, yada, yada...

Very good one Martin. The lyric re-write works great and there's a pulse and forward movement to the rhythm in the guitar playing that shows you mastered those timing difficulties. I agree with you that there is something strange about the timing in Black Waterside ... in a lot of the versions I heard anyway. Very disconcerting when you first try to play it. Mark

Thanks Keith, Leo and Mark! I can now go back and listen to all the other entries and be properly jealous

Takes me back, Mike Floorstand. I lived for a while just round the corner in Stapleton Hall Road and have friends on the Ladder plus a brother who used to live in Endymion Road so I know it all well. It does look a little ghostly with no traffic - though I did confront a fox in the middle of a deserted Wightman Road in the early hours once upon a time. Nice music, too!

Two extremely good late entries. Dammit! I like them both, and I also listened to all the others.
I now have a new favourite. Wonder whether it'll win.
This competition, because it is so narrow, I suspect, really has brought out some inventiveness. I'm so impressed with the talent on this forum.
Cleverly set, this competition. Colin I'd hate to call you devious, but I struggle to find another word to describe your setting of this task.

Delighted that my video footage had some meaning for someone here!

Nicely done, Mike Floorstand . That's one of them there folding bikes, isn't it? As I refuse to even drive in London, I tip my hat to someone who's prepared to cycle! Good luck with the competition. (I say that to everyone but, you know, I don't really mean it) Thanks Leo - that's correct my bicycle has a beautifully engineered fold. I'm a fairweather cyclist and not keen on London roads either, but fortunately the fold means the bike can be tucked unobtrusively in a corner of the hallway when not in use.
