I don't believe it!! I just had a quick look at some images of the Taylor K28e like alig's and I felt a tiny pang of GAS. It's only been 12 DAYS since I bought the Lowden I feel rather sinful

The chap who sold me my Taylor tried to convince me I need a Lowden. He was Irish. He was saying that there is a waiting list to buy new from Lowden. I listened to a few on YouTube and they sound great to my ears. They seem to me to be suited to players with a delicate (DADGAD) touch which unfortunately I don't have. Problem I found with selling Breedlove's is that they seem to loose their value more quickly than other good makes. I always sell on EBay rather than part exchange. Good luck with finding a Lowden.

chinanight I have my Lowden (see above) and it's awesome. I'm going to hang on to the Breedlove as it's a very different animal to the Lowden and works great going through the PA when I'm out with the band. As you say, they don't sell well as they haven't really taken off over here.

I wish sales guys wouldn't try to convince us to buy what they like! By all means suggest "try this one" but I wish they'd just leave it at that. When I was on my search for an extra special guitar I was given that pressure tactic about a Taylor 812ce. Good guitar, but to be honest someone trying to persuade me it was best probably put me off it if anything. Lowdens are a very different breed sound-wise v the US sort off acoustic guitar sound. MArk

MArk The guys at Project Music in Exeter were excellent in that respect. No pressure whatsoever. And they make very good mugs of tea An interesting remark there Mark about that US sound. I regard my Breedlove as a bit brash, cocky even, and that's not in a bad way - it kind of reminds me of my American son-in-law.

I could see there being a market for this among ladies to give to their dearly beloveds. Hence it is of vital importance to the nation that they do not discover the existence of this garment. The relevant pages of the internet must be ripped out and put in the wastepaper bin immediately. Keith

Mrs Breedlover has already seen it and commented "Only problem ... it was " honey" who pursuaded you to buy the last one"

Best 12-string I ever played was a used Lowden O-32 in TAMCO. I often think about that guitar.
