That’s a hard question. Mississippi Fred McDowell, Dwayne Allman, Derek Trucks, Muddy Waters, Ry Cooder. I can’t pick a favourite, then there’s Kelly Joe Phelps, Joey Landreth, Charlie Parr, I could go on and on. I just love slide guitar.

Have a great time. I was due to fly business class to Darwin in September 2020 using my air miles but that got postponed so I’m hoping to go early next year instead, taking the train to Adelaide with a stop in Alice Springs. Meant to get there since I read A Town Like Alice when I was still at school. If your still planning this trip Kakadu is worth a visit from Darwin one of the best places I’ve been. Also the Barossa Valley for some great wine and Kangeroo Island when your in Adelaide. Also read Songlines by Bruce Chatwin if your crossing the OUtback.

leoroberts Give me a shout, I’m in South Brisbane probably just over an hour from Beerburum. My wife grew up close to there in Landsborough. Brisbane is okay but for sight seeing head north to the Sunny Coast and Maleny. I like the Gold Coast hinterland as well.

Good read, Have you tried Tasmanian ash? I have a great uke made by David Amunn from Victoria that’s all ash. I also have another uke withTassie Tiger Myrtle back and sides.
Big storms tonight hope your okay on the Goldie and didn’t get effect by the floods?

I’ve never tried Newtones but my 3 acoustics are strung with Santa Cruz low tension. I’ve been using these for a long time and I find they really last and work well with my retuning. My Bashkin lives in Open C with them. I’ve tried lots of strings but so far these are my favourites and are worth the money.

I look forward to watching it. After years of being fully acoustic I’m back playing electric.

I’ve been enjoying the 5 part series from Dan from That Pedal Show greeting a custom Kinkade guitar made in Bristol. Johnny Kinkead shares allot of information through the build.
I lived in Bristol for 4 years before I moved down under and I visited his workshop to get a set up done on a Telecaster.
It’s Getting me in the mood for my custom builds coming this year.

Nice one Cams. I miss Little Brother’s lessons and forum, I learned allot through him.
I have two SCGC 00-12’s. My first one is similar specs to yours, Stika top and great mahogany back and sides. I bought it used ten years ago and I’ve played it allot. 2 years ago I got it refretted and the top cleated and it plays and sounds even better.

I bought my kids a used Taylor GS mini to share off Gumtree earlier this year. It’s 3/4 sized and I believe you can get a Taylor pickup for it. It’s a really good guitar. I paid About about 250 pounds ( in Aussie Dollars).

William Tyler was the last gig my wife and I went to in Brisbane just before Australia locked down. I’d seen him with Lambchop many times but was great to see him solo. A real favourite of mine - love Modern Country and Goes West I think Modern Country is excellent, but I love Behold the Spirit too. I play a version of Missionary Ridge.
