When I have a look on the plucky duck section some people put links to sound cloud. Unfortunately for me the links don't work, they are not highlighted like other links. Is it my iPhone or do I need to do something else, like copy and paste the link on a new page? Thanks in advance for any replies

Went to this yesterday what a cracking day. Saw some brilliant acts. Most of the acts played electric guitars. Connie Lush and her band were great. Lawrence Jones band were brilliant to. Both bands played fast uptempo self penned songs. Another highlight was Doug Macleod, he had some very funny stories to and his guitar playing was something else. To be honest all the acts were great. Will definitely go again.

I would say it depends on the type of music you play. I've got a TC helicon play acoustic vocal harmoniser. It has some guitar effects which I think add to the guitar tone. I use it mainly plugged into my Fishman loud box mini which also has chorus and reverb. I like the vocal harmoniser because it adds to the tone of the guitar and it has loads of vocal effects which sound great. It also helps you sing in the same key as your guitar lol. The only thing I would say against it is it is not easy to change between the different guitar effects.

I have two a High gloss Venus sounds great unplugged and plugged in. I also have a Mercury parlour guitar which I tend to leave in dadgad tuning. Again tone is very good. Playability on both guitars for me is very good. I tend to play the Venus with a plectrum and finger pick the Mercury. Haven't looked at any other acoustics since I got them, very happy.

I have the occasional jam with a few guys from work. The only problem is the volume only goes one way. It starts off loud and just gets louder. One of the guys now wants to ask a drummer to come along. Already got the ear defenders ready, lol

I've not got one yet, but am seriously thinking of getting one. Have seen several videos on YouTube of people using them. They look like a lot of fun. Apparently some have used them in a live performance.

Those of us who enjoy playing with others but very seldom get the chance check out the Digitech trio. It can be used with an electro acoustic or an electric guitar. They've also introduced a digitech trio plus. The plus is a looper.

Congratulations on your new guitar Solidtop. As for not being not good enough to play it don't put yourself down. I don't know of any music store that makes you do a test before you buy?

Congratulations on your new Martin. Any guitar that makes you keep picking it up can't be a bad thing.
