Before I bought my faith high gloss Venus I tried out several gibsons, martins, Taylor's costing twice as much as the faith and I had the budget to spend up to £1500. I chose the faith which cost half the price. Not because it was cheaper but to my ears it sounded nicer. I now also have a faith Mercury. Enjoy your guitar.

I to stumbled across the forum via Google. I like the friendly atmosphere and the willingness to offer advice / help whenever someone has a problem.

Congratulations on your new PRS Grayn it looks beautiful, very nice.
Solidtop my son has exactly the same guitar which I get to play now and again when he's out. Sounds great when my son plays it.

Looks very nice Martin. Even better when it's a bargain. The Duncan pickups should be fine.

Thanks Martin / Keith. I bought it blind so to speak. A Black Friday deal. I tried a few in the summer and was very impressed with them. To soften the blow I told my wife that it was for Christmas. When it arrived she let me give it the once over to make sure it was ok and then she took it away from me and has put it away until Christmas Day. i also soften the blow by explaining to her that they will be left to the son one day, lol.

Well I took the bait. Got a les Paul classic for less than half the price of the RRP. G force tuner works fine and if it packs up I'll just replace the tuners. Very happy

Lyric pad is an app that works on android and it only costs about £4. It's brilliant and you can even download the songs and cords.

I use an app on my tablet called lyric pad it's brilliant. No folders full of paper/song sheets etc. You can upload hundreds of songs and it auto scrolls. You can even get a clamp and fix your tablet to your mic stand.

Agree with those who say leave him be. I'm right handed and when I played football I was left footed. Phil Mickleson a famous golfer writes right handed and plays golf left handed. It's not that unusual.

Yes still got my sanity breedlover and the scratch is on the top. I've only had it just under 18 months and its got a few more dings in it now and I've also noticed scratches on the back of it to. I've stopped worrying now just enjoy playing it and you should enjoy playing your baby. ?

I feel your pain breedlover. We've all done it, but it doesn't make it any easier. As much as it pains me to look at the 1 inch deep scratch on my pride and joy I still get great pleasure from playing it. If you think your ding is bad spare a thought for Willie Nelson
