EEe Aye Daddario, we won the cup.
I wonder if the Bluesmen that we all look up to as musicians, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters , Tampa Red etc sat round their local bar playing their cheap Kay and catalogue guitars to such good effect ever had a discussion like we are having here....
Id' like to be a fly on the wall to that conversation.
"What strings you playing Bob?"
"I found some old ship hawsers down at the docks and using my broken whisky bottle as a slide sounds kinda cool Tampa what you playing Muddy?
I got some old string from the parcel my geetar came in sounds great.

It's a G tuning so you've called it right - two suspended fourths You could call it a C tuning with two suspended seconds - 1 5 2 5 1 2 - but it doesn't have the 1 5 1 combination so it probably would be frowned upon By whom pray the Chord police, Offchord

In Nottingham we have quite a few music stores including independents and chains, PMT have recently opened up in the city centre
My particular problem is I will go into one of the smaller independents just to see what they have and I am inevitably jumped on by the staff when I pick up a Taylor or a Martin Its like attaching limpet to a rock you cannot shake them off no matter how hard you try. Those of you local to the city will know which stores I mean.
I find this incredibly off putting and make my excuses and leave.

If I had the money right now I would buy it in a second. I am very interested - if I can raise the cash you will be the first to know. I’ll buy the Gibson back for £300 if you like Lynn - you’ll not only have a lovely new (to you) busking amp, you’ll have a crisp £20 note in your pocket. Deal? If its the Gibson that I think it is I'll give you £600
