Hello all
I really like all of Kieth's advice. and worked really well yesteray, ..and I can add some other help too because I could see that the bass E pin was fine but I coudln't see the string wrap which meant I needed too take the pin out and sort it.
This would not be aproblem because i saw Dave, at Frailers a few years ago, took out all the pins whilst leaving all the strings on, but very slack, then just replaced the strings and pins re tuned an all was fine. I 've done it loads of times since.
So I think you can check the pins all at once or one at a time and do'nt actually have to have to wait for a string change I use a planet waves headstock holder tablecloth
.Hope that might help ...
Regards Peter

Both look OK to me....

Hello all,
For acoustic music I think it's worthwhile finding "The Living Tradition" magazine, which has CD shop and reviews and club festival list etc.
REad about Gavin and his Fylde for example.
Kind regards
Peter.

Hi all,
From the title of this thread I was worried it was about BRE...
..but the diff in feel of tension, not political ,but possibley change from round back to hex cores.
I like Elixirs , but not how the coatings remain in the enviroment.
Kind regards Peter H

Hello all,
I would like to recommend "THE LIVING TRADITION" magazine, published in Kilmarnock, particularly if you like folk a bit,
always has has loads of reviews of cd 's festival listings etc., and archives too.
I guess some may already know of it...
Kind regards
Peter H

Hello there,
I think Fretounds are gently expanding their range, but I couldn't see "dads."
Only DR sunbeams, I think , are round core, and I really only use 12's for everything so not sure about others.
It might be worth asking them...
kind regards Peter

Hello all,
At risk of stating the obvious, for me after 48 years of trying, was face to face no escape lessons....
You might then find you can play it any old way you like!
