Final installment before Christmas folks: Sides have had their mahogany reinforcement strips added and the tail block has been shaped and a trial fit made. The neck block is currently covered in clamps and will be uncovered next time I'm in the workshop. Have a good Christmas all.

Working off some Christmas pudding today sanding the edges of the sides to re-establish their profiles after the linings were fitted. Photos show a general view of the back face/edges of the body after sanding on the 15 foot radius dish. Photo two shows the profile of the tail block slimmed down to match the linings. Photo three shows a section of the sanded edge.

Wow! I thought that you said that you were going to have some time off over Christmas. One day off? I’m loving seeing how this is developing though.

I've just sent 'Doc' a new mock-up for approval. It takes on some of the features of his J45 and will now have an Indian Rosewood fretboard and bridge instead of the earlier ebony. I hope you like...

It's a Go-Bar day today. Back braces are being applied and I'm playing with the layout of the rosewood reinforcement pieces. Once the main back brace glue has cured I can shape each brace. Then I can add the four short finger braces, and add the rosewood reinforcement pieces too. That's for tomorrow.

Back braces have now had an initial trim, the finger braces have been glued in place and the reinforcement pieces are all glued down. Some of the reinforcements were glued down along with the fingerbraces, the remainder were glued down once the finger brace bonds had cured. This whole assembly will be back under humidty control tonight.

Test fitting back-n-sides together. I need to shave a little more thickness from the ends of the back braces in a couple of places - getting there.

I agree doc. But, I also love the rosewood reinforcements and finger braces that francis uses.
