Result: PASS
well, you actually got a High Distinction but I know you're so modest that you wouldn't want me to make that news public...
Thanks for the photos Alasdair... they are a couple of beautiful looking guitars and I'm sure they sound the goods too. Please forward me your address so we can send you the obligatory champagne, flowers and booties.
All the best, marcus

Lovely pics Alasdair - thanks for those! How on earth do you decide which one to pick up first. And then, when to put it down and have a go on the other one? Nice problem to have though!! Really pleased for you. Keith

They looked good in the making. The end results look positively stunning! If they sound even half as good as they look you should have many years of great music from them. Congratulations.

Alasdair,
Patience is a virtue and it looks like you have been well rewarded. Lovely guitars and I look forward to hearing them sing on your recordings and at Halifax.

Thanks all. I'm very, very pleased.
Keith, good point. So far I've been pleasantly surprised when I've picked up the one 'other' than the one I expected. A few bars of something in DADGAD on a standard-tuned guitar is a little peculiar. It's often taken me a little while to figure out what I'm doing wrong!
The last hand made guitar I got new was the Orsino and, with the Cedar top, it sounded great from the get go. As these are Spruce tops it's an undiscovered country for me and I'm looking forward to the gradual change in these chappies. The MBW is already a 'singer' and the Coco's gonna be something of a cannon.
Thanks again to all for your good wishes. It really is a rather pleasant little Forum. Everybody - give yourself a pat on the back.
Happy daze.
