I recorded with my tirga baeg yesterday, really good to hear it mic'd properly and back through decent monitors. Mine is a great, great guitar but these with the refinements to design and double sides etc are going to be ridiculously good. Yup, saw some pics on FB - be interesting to hear what yours sounds like. Looks the business! I've had the tracks back from the studio, yes has recorded well. I'm going to try and marry the audio up with video I took before putting it online, the FB folks don't seem to pay attention unless there's moving pics to get there attention.

Here you go soundcloud.com/thomas-fitton/01-the-marsh-road Long Time Coming in the same set is also the Taran. Recording is a mixture of a mic on the guitar, some guitar bleeding into the vocal mic and a bit of the baggs m80 pickup

The Taran sounds very fine there, Tom and nicely suited to the style of play. Your playing and singing are both excellent as well

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and sorry to derail the thread slightly.
I haven't officially let the tracks out yet, I just put them on soundcloud quickly so I could put myself forward for a local festival. Did the trick as I've been promised spots at two different events.
I also took video and was going to marry sound and pictures together (and setting up a FB music page) before letting them out – the kids on that there facebook don't take any notice with moving images it seems.

Wow! Very, very jealous! They look lovely, loving the striped ebony too.

Thanks chaps,
Keith - phnarr, phnarr. Nicely done.
Clydeside - yup, cannot wait to see the headstocks when they're lacquered. Originally planned to have the body wood on the headstocks but Rory mentioned Macassar and… he usually knows best.
Alasdair.

I'm a fan of a dark headstock laminate and those look great aleady. I really don't think I can justify another guitar...

They're looking great Alasdair I went for the same woods throughout for headstock facing, back plate and binding (ABW) since they matched the body, and I wanted everything to be as understated as possible, but I certainly wouldn't object to the choice you've made here
