Francis, would it be possible to see a picture of the carve on the underside of the top plate? Agreed about the bindings, extremely classy indeed.  |

On page 3 of this thread: acousticsoundboard.co.uk/thread/6711/17-inch-carved-archtop-preps?page=3 Currently starting the cutaway bending mod to the standard sides. The initial bending in my version of a 'Fox-style' bender went well - thought I might have had some problems with the fame maple but apart from grain lift from wetting the sides all OK. I've got the cutaway bend almost right and it's currently held in the body mould to cool down and set. Then I'll do a little more to bring it to final profile. |

ourmaninthenorth : No not a great deal lately - been working on a parlour guitar for Leo's daughter. I've ordered some parts (truss rod etc...) they've arrived so work will continue in the near future....

Laminated front edge linings being glued in place this morning:  Rear edge linings are kerfed and hopefully will be added later today... TBC |

Just taken all the spring clamps off and placed the sides on the back:   Next stage clean it all up and install the side bracing... |
