Don’t worry Onechordtrick, we’d spotted it. Looks absolutely lovely - enjoy! (But for gawd’s sake, don’t ask leoroberts to write a song about your lovely blood moon venus.)

geddarby This makes me It's in eFlat isn't it, with the slide in Open D and Capoed at 1 - I wonder if that makes a difference. One of my favourite guitar parts: the intro to Statesboro' Blues off Taj's first album. There's another Taj Mahal track on Youtube where he's playing Lightnin' Hopkins' Needed Time with Eric Bibb and a slide player - classy stuff. Saw him at the Exeter Blues festival about 20 years ago - infectious. He must be getting on now. thanks Martin Ah yep - I love that Needed Time vid too. Been to see Eric Bibb a few times too, though not recently - he was always great and he seems to play tuned down half a step most of the time. btw - he (EB) has a very good instruction DVD songbook that includes Needed Time and also his version of Mance Lipscomb’s Goin Down Slow - which I can just about play now. Great fun.

I'm sure everybody else does this except me. For the last 6 mths or so i have been using my iphone for song ideas. Lost it yesterday along with 30 plus songs!!! Could have cried. Don't forget to back up. Bummer. Hope you manage to recover / recall / rebuild whatever you can bellyshere. I initially started using soundcloud as my backup medium but it isn’t one really - your post has prompted me to look at icloud options - thanks for the kick.

Wow. Some folk just have music running through, them don’t they? Others have to work at it. Great post geddarby.

I’m thinking “Willie Pistol” or “SeaSick Pete”.

I believe I'll end up in the tip when I'm gone.
Good to know there'll be some nice stuff to keep me company.

It’s a tricky one.
I’m all for de-cluttering, but there’s that “you never know, it might come in useful one day” thing going on in your head.
This is why the contents of my overflowing toolbox include the condenser and a valve stem from the MGB I ceased owning in 1988.
Ya just never know....

Ebay is your friend.
About 18 months ago I decided I would very much like a resonator and settled on a Michael Messer one for about £600 - but decided it would have to be a cash neutral event.
I sifted through my pile of “junk” (like most people, I have lots) and within a couple of months had the guitar. Stuff I sold included...an old film 35mm camera, a load of old LP’s, a pile of old US car registration plates picked up in garage sales, a flag, two old semi-antique adding machines, an audio interface sound card, some books........etc etc etc
New guitar, less “junk”, happy people all around, and fun watching the auctions.
What’s not to like?

“You know, I was convinced this was a clever hoax, or a site hack, until I Googled it”
My thoughts exactly.
What a truly horrible piece of “product placement”.
I’d love to know how many they shift.

Thanks Keith, lots to try there.Although after first attempt at a few I may get the surgeon to give me an extra 1/2" on left hand fingers and thumb whilst he's at it Sounds like a simple cut and paste job then, fatfingerjohn.

I could have been a lawyer, but I’m not enough of a git to have made a success of it.
(This view is not universally held.)

Thanks chaps - I shall get my whiteboard and markers out later and investigate.
Keen to stay in key (Am) for this project and the thumb wrap of option b) is getting better with a lighter touch (and some disciplined practice).
