The 'Final Four' ... that's my appellation, not Dave's...

And then it's time for setting up the instrument - which involves fitting the tuners and nut to the neck, bolting on the neck, fitting the bridge pins, saddle and strings and cutting the initial nut slots, bringing the strings to pitch, capoing at the first fret and adjusting the truss rod to give the correct neck relief, adjusting the saddle height for desired action at the 12th fret and finally cutting the nut slots to give desired clearance at the nut.

I like my action fairly low - *just* above the buzz zone... Here’s the result:







Wondering what it sounds like? Maybe the 'Final Four' should've been the 'Fab 4'.... This is Dave playing in DADGAD - possibly the only time this guitar will be in that particular tuning
